Some more page 1 roughs. No idea what i’m going for here. I’m at the start of a great big learning curve here. Been mostly just sketching for the past few years. this actual drawing stuff with layouts and compositions is tougher than i remember. I think i might make most of my comic take place in the arctic so everything’s white.
I’ve decided that my webcomic will be predominantly produced digitally. Here is a first draft of my first page. Done 100% digital with a Bamboo. Takes a bit of getting used to but I think I’m a convert already and I’ve only used it a few times.
Couple of digital doodles for this project. I recently got myself an Ipad and have been messing around with the sketch book Pro app. This might be the way forward for me when doinbg concept work. It’s not high re or anything but its for a webcomic so resolution’s not that important.
I suppose if it ever become popular and io get it in print then i’ll probably regret doing all the sketches at low res but like that’s gonna happen… . .
Last one for a while. This images shows some of the barbarian type characters that will appear in an Dimension jumping story or flashback. There’s also a quick sketch of a Villain called Electrode. You can probably guess his powers.
Just some random head shots. The one that kind of looks like batman without the ears (or I suppose Mark Millar’s Nemesis) is Currently called Number 1. Number 6 may be here too??
Some concepts of the rest of the Department Six Team. These character are still in the early stages of development and are simply called 1 through 6 at the moment.

Some more designs for the Cain Character. I got his mask down a while back so this is realy just a continuation of the design. His face without the mask has always been disfigured since the character’s creation. He always in pain due to nerve damage when his face was burned as a child. That’s why he’s a really angsty character. All stories need one of them right?
Oh, and there’s some doodle of a possible symbol concept for the Assassin’s Guild or Assassin’s league or what ever I’ll end up calling them.
Ok This is the look I’ve gone for. not sure about the mask though. also a couple of little doodle of Sean in action.
OK I lied here are some concepts for this character done before the last post. The next post will have the settled for look. promise.
Some more hair styles for the Sean (Nightwatch) character. Whilst it was lots of fun doing all these different hair styles I still can really decide on one. The next post will show the one i settled on but i may yet change it.
